The Michigan Round Dance Teachers Association (MRDTA)

A group of dance leaders dedicated to the development of round dancers and the nourishment of the art.

Round Dance

A form of synchronized ballroom that is danced by couples around the perimeter of a room. The dance moves are done to various rhythms such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Two Step, Foxtrot, Jive, Waltz, etc. All figures are predetermined and cued by the leader known as the Cuer.

New Meeting Schedule

At the May meeting the MRDTA meeting schedule was changed to the third Sunday of September, November, February, April, May.

MRDTA actively supports the upcoming National Square Dance Convention at Cobo Hall, Detroit Michigan, June 22, 23, 24, 25, 2011.
